What is reviewed
Machinability before optimism.
A vector that looks correct on screen can still contain open paths, duplicate lines, tiny segments, impossible internal corners, unclear depths or features that cannot be held safely. A drawing can omit the face, datum or tolerance that makes the part unambiguous.
Typical review points
- Overall dimensions and material thickness
- External profiles and internal cut-outs
- Which face contains each pocket or rebate
- Depths and through-cuts
- Minimum internal corner radius
- Hold-down and part movement risk
- Grain or face orientation where relevant
- Quantity, part separation and finishing
- Critical fit and how it will be verified
What approval means
Approval confirms the quoted scope and the referenced file revision. It does not transfer responsibility for the suitability, safety or compliance of the finished product. A change after approval may require a revised quote and production date.
What is checked
The quotation identifies the checks appropriate to the job. These may include an overall dimension, a critical hole or pocket location, a fit sample, part count, visible damage and grouping. General dimensional inspection is not a substitute for a defined tolerance or acceptance method.
