Trade and supply-only cabinetry

Supply-only alcove base units and bookcases up to 1.2 m high.

For installers, designers, property businesses and workshops that need smaller cabinetry modules or matched components made to agreed dimensions. For normal Wood to Spec construction, provide the required sizes and layout and Wood to Spec will prepare the manufacturing files and approval drawing. Site surveying, measuring, scribing, fitting and installation are not included.

Made as smaller modules

Cabinetry sized for the workshop and for supply.

Base cabinets, upper bookcase units and matched components are treated as defined modules so their panels can be prepared, machined, checked and protected for the agreed supply method.

The supplied arrangement can combine an assembled two-door base cabinet with a separate open bookcase above, or matched components for assembly by the customer or installer.

Normal construction

You normally provide the sizes, not the production files

A customer-supplied manufacturing file is not required for normal Wood to Spec cabinetry construction. Provide the required overall sizes, layout, finish and hardware information and Wood to Spec will prepare the production files and an approval drawing.

A drawing or CAD file is only needed where the construction differs from the normal Wood to Spec method, or where the project includes a specific joint, unusual geometry, bespoke profile, specialist hardware layout or another detail that must be followed exactly.

Wood to Spec does not perform a site survey or verify dimensions at the property. Rough size information can begin the enquiry; manufacture uses the final drawing and dimensions approved by the customer.

Supply-only workflow

How the supply-only process works

  1. 1

    Supply the required sizes

Send the required width, height, depth and intended internal or external layout. A sketch or photograph can help explain the requirement but is not mandatory for normal construction.

  2. 2

Wood to Spec prepares the production layout

Wood to Spec develops the manufacturing files and approval drawing using the agreed normal construction method, unless a different construction requirement has been supplied and accepted.

  3. 3

    Review and approve

The customer checks the dimensions, layout, finish, hardware scope and supply format before production begins.

  4. 4

    Manufacture and supply

The approved modules or matched components are produced, checked and prepared for the agreed delivery method. Site fitting remains the responsibility of the customer or installer.

Bookcase sections designed to sit on top of a base unit, with fixed or adjustable shelf positions defined in the approval drawing.

Components

Matched panels and repeated parts

Doors, shelves, dividers, plinth parts and other components supplied as an agreed matched set for customer assembly.
