Privacy and project information

Privacy notice

JLTG Designs Ltd uses the minimum information needed to review an enquiry, prepare a quotation and support an approved Wood to Spec project.

Controller and contact

JLTG Designs Ltd, operating the Wood to Spec service, is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice. The dedicated contact route is the privacy-request form. Select “I have a privacy or data request” so the request is separated from an ordinary project enquiry.

Information collected

The project form can collect your name, email address, project route, description, dimensions, material and quantity notes, an optional file-share link, one optional attachment and your optional answer about how you found the site.

Your browser also stores your privacy choice and, if you use the control, your motion preference. If you allow an optional attribution category, the browser can store limited campaign, referral and click information. Saved attribution fields may be included with an enquiry when you submit the form. Names, email addresses, project descriptions, filenames and file links are not used for site measurement.

Where information comes from and who receives it

Most information comes directly from you. Optional attribution data comes from your browser only after the relevant choice. Netlify hosts the website, receives and stores enquiry submissions and attachments, and runs the function that checks verified submissions. JLTG Designs Ltd uses the submitted information to review and respond to the enquiry. No external analytics, session-recording, advertising or customer-record provider is active in the current production configuration. Information is not sold.

International transfers

Netlify is an international service provider and may process service information outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred internationally, JLTG Designs Ltd relies on the safeguards that apply to the service, including contractual transfer protections where required.

Files and confidentiality

Routine drawings and reference files may be attached or supplied through a file-share link. For commercially sensitive designs, submit an initial description without the sensitive file. A suitable transfer method can then be agreed during the review. Do not upload passwords, payment details, export-controlled information or unrelated personal data. File-share links are stored as text and are not fetched automatically.

Retention

Enquiry and project information is retained only for as long as it is reasonably needed to review the enquiry, provide the service, maintain relevant business records and meet applicable legal obligations. The period depends on the status of the enquiry, whether a contract or dispute exists, and any tax or legal duty. An optional attribution record expires 90 days after its most recent saved attribution touch.

What you must provide

Your name, reply address, starting route and a short project description are needed to review and answer an enquiry; they are not a statutory requirement. If they are missing, Wood to Spec may be unable to respond or quote. Optional dimensions, files, discovery information and measurement choices can be omitted.

Your choices and rights

You can reject or withdraw optional measurement at any time through Cookie settings. Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to use based on legitimate interests. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some requests can be limited where records must be retained by law or for an active dispute.

Wood to Spec does not use this website to make a solely automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects. If you are unhappy with the response to a privacy concern, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
